Excellent movement for upper-body / push. This closed chain movement will support bilateral hip stabilization, upperbody strength and "conscious" spine stabilization. You could modify it with a single leg suspended push-up for single hip stabilization. Second progression is more of a starting strength movement, you can vary the time spent on the block, for starting strength there should be at least 2seconds on the block before exploding up to start position.
